Lauren Magarelli

Lauren Magarelli is a 500 hour E-RYT Yoga Teacher. She has been running teacher training for more than a decade. She was a senior teacher at Laughing Lotus Yoga center for over 12 years and was the creative director of the 50-hour Bhakti Teacher training. Lauren was born and raised in Woodstock. She has a BFA in dance from the University of Buffalo and a BA in Psychology. A Master in Education from Hunter College helped Lauren work and create a dance program in the NYC School System.

Lauren teaches ballet at Passions Adult Studio in Beacon. She also has two bands and sings locally at Dogwood, Reserva, Carters, and local farmers’ markets. Lauren loves the rain, a really strong downpour causing the bark on the trees get so dark and the vibrant green leaves to shimmer in contrast. Her favorite music touches the heart when the poetry of the words inspires your inner self.
She loves Beacon because of the gifts it shares, the mountains, the river, and the good people.

She is so excited to share her love of yoga with this community. Lauren believes that one lives yoga daily, that life is a practice, and though we are whole, to begin with, the yogic toolbox can remind us of what we forget.
