Lesley Lotto

Lesley Lotto began practicing yoga three decades ago in Los Angeles where she grew up. It wasn’t until she moved to Montana for her radio career that she began a regular and very personal yoga practice.  In Missoula, Lesley tried Hot Yoga (because it’s freezing there!), then moved into a sincere appreciation for all styles and lineages of yoga.  At that time, one of Lesley’s teachers brought a 200 hour certification training to a yoga studio in Missoula through Prana Mandir Yoga of New York.  It was a year of intense study into the history and philosophy of yoga,  proper sequencing and learning to lead classes and events. Yoga Yay! was born in that training with three besties who loved practicing and “geeking out” on yoga so much, we would say, “Yoga… Yay!”. Since then Lesley has completed a 300 hour Bhakti training, Yoga Nidra training, Restorative training, became Reiki 1&2 certified, certified in Thai Yoga Bodywork and Kundalini Yoga. During the COVID lockdown Lesley completed 125 hours of “Untrained and Retrained” answering the call of the Black Lives Matter movement, and most recently she was certified in Mat Pilates, Animal Flow® & Yoga Shred®.  Lesley also studied Medical Qigong as the COVID19 pandemic began to wane, and learned EFT Tapping as a way to quiet anxiety and stress. She has practiced or studied with Sondra Loring, Kelly Kamm, Guru Singh, Seane Corn, Rolf Gates, Bryan Kest, Sri Dharma Mittra, Sadie Nardini, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman-Yee and Guru Jagat.  Lesley practices yoga daily and is keen to do Karma Yoga whenever possible. She is a mama to two amazing adults, runs a news network which produces news and traffic reports for radio stations across America for her other baby, Remote News Service, hikes and plays guitar. She lives in the Hudson Valley of New York State with her little ol’ doggie “Jani”.
