Eleanor Allen is a multi-faceted violinist/fiddler from Hudson Valley, NY.  She began classical violin studies as a young child in Maryland and rose to play in all-state youth symphonies, chamber ensembles, and community orchestras.  after earning a degree in music education, a move to New York brought her in touch with the vibrant Irish traditional music scene.  playing in sessions and studying with the genre’s most respected artists deepened her love for music and inspired her to move to Ireland, where she earned a master of arts in Irish traditional music performance from the University of Limerick.  her versatility as a musician has led to many and varied performances with orchestras, Celtic, country western, and rock bands in both the USA and abroad.
